Barbican Centre to Screen Little-Known Kurdish Film


    As part of its current War in Iranian Cinema series, the Barbican is
    screening the little-known film The Legend of Love, by director
    Ferhad Merhanfar.

                                       Date: 26th February, 2007, 18:15 (running time 83 minutes)

    This film tells the story of a young Kurdish woman who journeys
through the mountains of Kurdistan to find her beloved, who is working in a clinic to help
the war-struck people of his homeland. The Barbican website describes Legend of Love
as a chance to explore the rich layers of Kurdish legend and tradition….an ancient land of
high cliffs and deep-rooted beliefs, offering her a chance to explore the rich layers of
