Half Moon's journey to Tribeca Film Festival in New York
proved to be a successful one. When the winners of the
festival were announced Half Moon received the Honorable
Mention for the Screenplay by Bahman Ghobadi.

This mention is especially important for Bahman Ghobadi
as Tribeca Film Festival, founded and run by Robert DeNiro,
has quickly become America's most important film festival.

Half Moon was screened for the first time in the US at the
Tribeca festival and drew a number of American film critics
to the screen which resulted in favorable reviews in
American publications.

Half Moon received a good review in the leading film journal
Variety by the distinguished critic Ronnie Scheib who wrote:

"Each succeeding Ghobadi film feels like a journey back to a
hauntingly familiar yet ever-changing landscape; here, death
blurs the frontier between reality and dream, though never
dimming the pic's startling beauty, raucous humor or
indomitable ethos… this picaresque odyssey should still safely
    lure dedicated arthouse auds."

Half Moon will continue to travel the International Film Festival Circuit and next on the list are,
Durban International Film Festival in South Africa on June 26th to July 1st and Umbria Film
Festival in Italy from 4th of July to 8th of July where Ghobadi will receive a special award and a
key of the city.
