Half Moon, Refugee and My Marlond and Brando  at the 13th International Film Festival of
Kelara in India.

Half Moon, the latest movie of Kurdish
director Bahman Ghobadi, will be
screened at the 13th International Film
festival of Kelara in India at World
Cinema section.

The International Film Festival of Kerala
is a yearly event organized by the Kerala
State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of
the Department of Cultural Affairs,
Government of Kerala. The festival is
recognized by the FIAPF thus making it
part of a prestigious circle of specialized
festivals. The 13th edition of IFFK will be
held at Thiruvananthapuram (formerly
known as Trivandrum), the capital city of
Kerala in the South of India from                                            
a scene from "Refugee"
12th - 19th December 2008.

Also Reis Celik's film "Refugee" (106’/Turkish-German-Kurdish/2007) and  Huseyin Karabey's
"My Marlon and Brando" (92min/Turkey/2008) to be screened for the competition section at the
13th IFFK.

Half Moon in the list of the 100 best films of 2008

On the other hand  the critics of the Times newspaper announced the 100 best movies release
in UK this year. Bahman Ghobadi's latest movie Half Mon, which got the Golden Shell at the San
Sebastian Film festival in 2006 but couldn't get the permission for screening at theaters in Iran,
has been selected in the list of the 100 best films of 2008.
